Brief Answer:
Start him on antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concerns but don't worry. Your child's symptoms and report are suggestive of bacterial gastrointestinal infection. We suggest the following treatment for early relief:
- antibiotics such as Syp. Cefixime (10mg/kg/day in 2 divided doses) for next 3 days.
- a zinc supplement such as Syp. Zn20 or Zirconia (5 ml once daily for complete 2 weeks). This helps in early recovery and further immunity.
- probiotics such as Enterogermina (1respule daily for 5 days) will help in early restoration of healthy gut flora and recovery.

These are prescription based medicines, so you may go to your pediatrician for the same.

Keep him well hydrated by regular oral rehydration solution and feeds.

Hopefully it will be useful. I would be happy to help you in any further questions.
Take care

Hi doctor,
His situation has improved. Today is 6th day of hi antibiotics treatment.
His stool has turned from green to yellow and pain while passing the stool has subsided but frequency of stools is still 7-8 in a day. In fact he has not yet started having food properly.

Hi Doctor,
I stopped antibiotics today and gave him 1ml Z&D syrup in morning. Since then, frequency of stools have increased and motions are loose as well. He passed stool 6 times since morning.

Brief Answer:
Give atleast 5 ml ZnD syrup once daily

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I would advise you to give 5ml ZnD syrup instead of one ml once daily. This will be useful. Do not worry about frequency of poops. It will gradually improve over a week. Ensure healthy nutrition and fluids.
Take care
