Question: I have had a pap smear that came back atypical squamous cells can't rule out high grade lesion. What is the chance this could be invasive cancer?

You are having regular period cycle? yes this past period though was extended for 19 days but ultrasound done and noted fibroid, lysteda started and bleeding resolved

Have you done your HPV testing? The HPV has been negative for several years but this time they stated with these results the HPV is positive
Colposcopy and biopsy done or not? colposcopy will be done today

Hello ma'am,
Sorry for the long delay in my response.
Your pap smear test results are abnormal and there is a possibility that a precancerous lesions is developing so further testing like colposcopy and biopsy is indicated.
The chances of invasive cancer is quite low.
In study shows there is only 10,000 people out of 52 million developed invasive cancer with this type of pap test results.
