=================================
I have got following queries and would plead you to respond to each one of them carefully.

Query No. 1. Please tell me where I stand. Do I need to seek medication or with the help of regular exercise and restricted diet, the results can get back to normal range.

I eat meat, egg, salt, oily and spicy food alot and do not do regular exercise.

Query No. 2: I have a long history of Psoriasis and Arthritis. My HLAB27 was positive three years back. I had taken two injections of Remicade then and now my pain is under control and for psoriasis", I take one tablet of "Neotrexate" a weak. Can this be a cause of High LPT ?

Query No. 3: Can high LPT lead to Erectyle Dysfuction ? I have read it on net. For last two years, I have bee having problems with regard to erection and had met a urologist three years back, who had done following tests on me.

Glycoslyated Haemoglobin (HBA1C) - 5.5

Testosteron Serum - 1.53

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) - 2.38.

I believe above tests were normal. He had prescribed Megalis 20 MG, 2 tablets a weak for one month. Since my wife is not with me for few months, I am not taking the medicine.

I can masturbate whenever I want but have problem in sustained erection.

Please tell me can I take Megalis with this LPT results ? At the time, I had met him, my LPT was not done.

Note: My last LPT was done in the year 2012 and then only LDL was high. It was 146.

Thanks & Regards....

Brief answer.....given below
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query well and would answer you one by one.
1...your lipid profile is bad and has been consistently getting bad since 2012.
Your diet is not proper and you are leading a sedentary life style.Good thing about your reports is that you are not suffering from either high blood pressure or diabetes. This lipid profile can be made all right with regular exercises, shedding of weight and dietary controls.
2...Methotrexate can cause erectile dysfunction but doesn't derange lipid profile
3..Men with total cholesterol above 240 have 2.7 fold increased risk of moderate to severe erectile dysfunction.
You can take MEGALIS as prescribed by the urologist, however I would like to point you that it would be better on your part to do the following...
Do regular aerobic exercises or 45 minutes a day and shed your weight.Try to be in your normal range of BMI
Quit smoking if any and moderate your alcohol.
Avoid deep fried foods, sweets, junk foods and colas.
Do yoga and deep breathing exercises.
Using MEGALIS is all right for short term but change in lifestyle would keep helping you in your sex life in long run.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

Thank You Doctor for your prompt response.

I am happy to inform you that neither I smoke nor drink. But yes eat lots of non-veg (meat and egg).

I shall definitely start doing exercise (walking & jogging) as well as Yoga and shall change eating habit. Should I stop taking meats and eggs as well ?

Could you tell me what kinds of aerobic exercises I should do ?

And I could not understand "=== Men with total cholesterol above 240 have 2.7 fold increased risk of moderate to severe erectile dysfunction====. My Cholesterol seems to be above 240.

As I have mentioned above that I take one tablet a week of Neotrexate (Methotrexate) for psoriasis and getting reasonable results. Should I stop taking it as you have suggested in your above response, this may cause ED. My skin doctor had said that this medicine could be taken life long.

Please tell me when should I do LPT again. After three months are six months ?

Thanks.

Hello,
Red meat has lot of saturated fats in it and yellow of eggs have plenty of cholesterol in it.
You can take white of the egg, roasted chicken and fish and avoid yellow of eggs.
Aerobic exercises are brisk walking, jogging, cycling, swimming etc.
People with high cholesterol levels have more chances of erectile dysfunction.
Methotrexate can not be stopped.
You may repeat your LPT after 3 months.
Doing regular exercises, observing dietary controls, doing regular yoga and shedding your weight will not only restore your sex health but also bring tons of health benefits to you.
Thanks
