Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend
Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.

To decide and classify that what stage of kidney failure you are in, we need to first see it is Acute Kidney Injury or Chronic Kidney Disease.

Give me following details:
1. Are you a known case of some kidney problem? Or is this for the first time you have got the testing done?
2. What was your initial creatinine level?
3. Any history of diabetes and hypertension.
4. Any history of anemia?
5. How is your urine output?
6. Any fever?
7. Attach all your reports including Ultrasound.

I would not suggest a discharge at Creatinine level of 6.8 mg/dl.

Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you.
Revert with the asked details for a better help.
Stay Healthy.

Thank you. I have never had any kidney problems. I never had high blood pressure. After my lobectomy an infectious disease doctor came in and said i had TB. It turned out i didn't but he treated me with anti tb medication. He also made me cough up sputum which tore my staples from my lobectomy. I had to have the surgery over again to fix the tear. My surgeon then gave me vancomycin on top of the piperacillin the infectious disease doctor had me on. Plus all of the other anti tb drugs as well. My creatnine level XXXXXXX almost immediately. It topped out at 8.10 and then two to three days later was down to 6.80. That was when i was released.
I've never had diabetes. Anemia other than after surgery. no fever. My urine output is fine. However, i have severe ichy skin when i try and go to sleep at night time. I'm losing a lot of sleep due to this. I also had severe edema for about 10 days when i returned home. hives. blisters. white dots that were painful under my tongue. In the hospital and out i have had a total of 7-9 nose bleeds.

Brief Answer:
Get investigated

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
It seems you had suffered and even now suffering from Acute Kidney Injury. This can be related to drugs, infection.
If there is not extensive damage then this is totally reversible.
I would advice you to get following if not done:
1. Repeat Kidney Function Test
2. Ultrasound Abdomen with Kidneys Ureter and Bladder.
3. Urine Routine and Microscopy.
4. Hemogram.

You have to avoid the nephrotoxic drugs.
I would suggest you to take any medication only under medical supervision.
I would require these reports to help you better.
Review with reports.
Stay Healthy.
