Hi XXXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Normal values of variables mentioned by you are as follows.

1. polymorphs are type of white blood cells.
Normal range is 40-75% and is not a concern

2. ESR -96MM/HR is the rate at which the blood components settle dow.
Women under 50 years old: less than 20 mm/hr. This needs to be assessed in the presence of a medical condition like rheumatoid arthritis and can also be high during periods.

3. Hb 11.8gm%
Values that are normal fall between11.5-16.5 g/dL in adult, non-pregnant females.

4. s creatinine -0.7mg/dl is a kidney function test.
Normal is 0.5 to 1.1 milligrams per deciliter in adult females.

5. uric acid 1.9mg/dl
adult women normally have levels between 2 and 6.5 mg/dL

5. TSH- 3.3mlU/mL
reference range for the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) blood test runs from approximately .5 to 4.5

Hydroxychloroquine (HQCS) is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis; sjogren's syndrome; systemic lupus erythematosus; undifferentiated connective tissue disease; dermatomyositis (and more), and belongs to the drug classes antimalarial quinolines, antirheumatics.

DUPOX DT is Piroxicam a painkiller.

RANTAC is a protective medicine to be taken before food and protects you from harmful effects of pain killer like gastric acid problems.

From the above details I think you might be having condition like rheumatoid arthritis and that can cause elevated ESR.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Are the medicines already prescribed by the doctor OK - OR would you like to change or add something.

Brief Answer:
Treatment is right

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

Since you are taking HQCS which is a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug, there is no need to add more medications other than DUPOX DT and RANTAC, which are given to most patients. I feel you are getting the right treatment.

The ESR is a reflection of inflammation and is not an absolute indicator of disease. When the rheumatoid gets controlled, the ESR will also come down. You cannot control it by any special medicine.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

HQCS must be taken after food as per dose directed by your doctor. In rheumatoid arthritis dose given is 400 - 600 mg.

DUPOX DT is to be taken 20 mg after food.

RANTAC is to be taken on empty stomach. Best to be taken when you wake up and please do not brush your teeth or take anything by mouth for 30 minutes after this medicine.

The duration of these medicines depends on the symptoms you are having and might need to be continued for months.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
