What Does This Blood Report Indicate?
Question: My husband has not been feeling well, off and on, for over a year now. He changed his diet dramatically over 6 months ago to mostly whole healthy foods, fruits and vegetables and little meat and alcohol. He still feels unwell. Recently his blood result test came back with this:
RBC of 5.3
Hematocrit of 51.4
Platelets of 327
Hemoglobin of 16.8
LDL Cholesterol 135
Deficient in Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy, level at 22.6
He doesn't fit the total profile of Polycythemia. He also has never had heart issues and no genetic heart issues either. Do these blood results indicate something that we are not seeing?

Side note, the diet change and probiotics has helped greatly but not fixed the issue. He has a low-grade headache often. He also has psoriasis and Candida that he continually is working on.
I attached his most recent lab blood results and the tests that we ordered on our own to try and narrow down what we think/thought was the problem.

You have not mentioned about his symptoms, just that he is unwell. In any case, the lab reports do not suggest polycythemia. The hematocrit is only borderline high, nothing of concern.
In these reports, only significant findings are slightly high cholesterol and low vitamin d. He may require supplements of vitamin d and statin drugs to reduce the cholesterol.
Overall, I don't think anything serious is going on.
