What Does This Blood Report Indicate?

Question: BUN 17 creat 1.1 GFR 50. Take nsaids 2X daily. Should the calculated GFR concern me while taking nsaids. Was told it is of no concern because bun creat normal


Hx of HTN on Hyzaar, smoker, A1c 5.1

Though the BUN and Creatinine are normal, a GFR of 50 is certainly not the best to expect. I will like to see the renal evaluations repeat to establish what the precise state of the renal function is.

NSAIDS are not kidney friendly. With a lower GFR, I will rather recommend the you stay away from them.
