Question: Should I be concerned with this PET scan result? How come they can't rule out metastatic deposit? and what are the hypermetabolic pre tracheal lymph node and hyper metabolic focus on the umbilical region? (should I be concerned that this are cancer?). This patient was diagnosed with stage1a grade 1 endometrial carcinoma early february 2016 and underwent a total hysterectomy with salpingo-oopherectomy.

Brief Answer:
PET findings inflammatory. Be on regular check up.

Detailed Answer:
The PET is showing hypermetabolic deposits in the pre tracheal and umbilical areas.
This lady underwent XXXXXXX BSO and it was endometroid adenocarcinoma grade 1,stage1A. This tumor spreading to other organs is very rare and lymph node dissection is not recommended for this tumor.
So my advice is we presume the PET findings as inflammatory. But please be on regular check up as advised by your doctor.
