What does the ultrasond report indicate?
She is pregnant for 6 weeks please guide us that
is this report is complicated and what we need to do now for further caring
We have done ultrasound last week and report is as under
Single intrauterine gestational sac with single foetal pole and yolk sac is seen.
Cardiac activity is present.
CRL is measuring 6.9 mm average maturity is 6 weeks 5 days
GL (LNMP)- 7 week 3 days
Thin sleeve of fluid collection seen around caudal aspect of gestational sac appears subchorionic hemorrhage.
Cervical length is adequate and internal os ins closed.
Well defined hypoechonic lesion measuring around 3.7*2.7 cm seen anterior wall of uterus appears uterine fibroid.
a- Single intrauterine gestational sac with fetal pole showing maturity of 6 weeks 5 days . Cardiac activity is present. Thin Sleeve of subchorionic hemorrhage along caudal aspect of G Sac
b- Uterine fibroid in its anterior wall
Pregnancy with fibroid
The ultrasound show is a viable pregnancy with good heart beat. Thats a good sign. But the sub chorionic bleed around the sac isnt a good sign. Till now, its slight and doesnt seem to cause any problems with the pregnancy. But if the bleed grows in size, then she may mis-carry. She needs to be on added progesterone support and complete bed rest. Follow up ultrasound will be required. So far, its ok.
On the other hand, there is a sizable fibroid. However, i dont see that causing any problems yet.
