What Does The Pelvic Sonography Report Indicate?

Question: Hello Doctor,
My age 44 & have a report on Pelvic sonography dated 23 April 2015

Uterus is retroverted & bulky..It measures 9.2 cms x 5.2 cms x 5.4 cms.
Endometrum measures 18.7mm. Color doppler shows normal uterine flow.

* Rt.ovary measures 3.9cms x 2.2cms & Lt ovary measures 3.4cms x 2.2cmc.

* No fluid is seen in cul-de-sac.

* Urinary bladder shows smooth outline. no calculas is seen in it.

OPINION : BULKY UTERUS WITH HYPERTROPHIED ENDOMETRIUM

Doctor is any immediate surgery required as my Doctor saying immediate uterus removal.Please guide me if any other option.

Brief Answer:
Thickened endometrium

Detailed Answer:
your wife needs an endometrial biopsy and Mirena insertion. this will avoid the need of uterus removal. biopsy to exclude any serious uterine disease coz of thick endometrium .
if biopsy report is normal this treatment is sufficient. if not then uterus removal may be needed
