Brief Answer:
PCO means polycystic ovaries

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns delayed periods and ultrasound scan.

Following is my reply:

1) The reason for delayed periods in your sister in law is polycystic ovaries ( PCO) as seen by scan.

2) PCO is a condition where there are multiple peripheral follicles in ovaries which are accompanied by insulin resistance in the body and facial hairs in some women..

3) PCO leads to delayed periods.

4) Bulky uterus could be normal finding in her related to age and having 2 children. Not to be worried about it.

4) If she is obese, she needs to loose weight which will regularize her periods.
