Brief Answer:
Means you are infected, yes you are infectious, the way the report reads

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Your result does report a positive result, and yes you are infectious. Positive abnormal is just the way the report is printed, if you were not positive the report would read 'negative normal', and nothing else.

Please speak to your doctor about treatment options. Also please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.

Thank you for your answer. So, i was intimate with a new partner last Wednesday, if he gets hep B vaccine now, will that help to prevent him from catching the disease? During the course of hep B vaccine, 6 months.... can he catch the disease from kissing and unsafe sex?

Brief Answer:
May or may not help, best to avoid sexual contact

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again.

Getting the Hep B vaccine now may not really help if he has already been exposed to the virus, but he can still go ahead with it. It may or may not help depending on the chance of whether or not he contracted the infection.

I strongly advise against any sexual contact during the period of the treatment.

Hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
