Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi & Welcome.

Semen analysis measures the amount and quality of a man's semen and sperm.
It is the single most important test of male fertility.

As per the WHO (world health organization) recommendation a normal semen analysis should have the following:

1. Sperm count 20 million or more/ml

2. Motility (ability of the sperms to swim)

A - Rapid progressive motility
B - Sluggish progressive motility

It should be 50% or more with grade A+B motility /25% or more with grade A

3.Size and shape of the sperms: At least 30% of cells should be of normal shape
4. Total semen volume 2.0 ml or more
5. The liquefaction of the semen (the ability to go from normal gel-like state at ejaculation to a liquid state) it should be less than 30 minutes.
6. Chemical examination: pH reaction Alkaline & Fructose should be positive
