What Does The Following Rashes On The Chest Indicate?

Question: Rash Examination:

Please examine the rashes. I have uploaded the pictures. Most of them are itchy and burning upon scratching. some of them are not itchy. All on Torso. The first rash on chest disappeared after 1-2 days.

Worried about HIV transmission:

Possible Exposure:
Hand jobs and Body Massage At SPA
No kissing, oral, Anal, Vaginal Penetrations.

Concern:
Never checked the hands of therapists for possible cuts/bleeding. I might have got small shaving cuts/scraches on body. No big bleeding wounds.

Other Symptoms:
Body heat up during sleep/Chills (No much sweating)
fatigue
Cold
Mild sore throat
groin lymph swollen (not painful)
possibly lymph under chin swollen
itching in groin and under arms
sore on lips
Anxiety & Depression

Hi,

I can understand your worry about HIV. But, I assure you that your skin problem is not related with HIV.

After reading history and seeing the photos, I feel that most probably you may be having skin disease called prurigo simplex.

It is a condition caused by irritant or allergens. There may be insect sensitivity. You kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis.

I would suggest....

- antihistaminics like levocetirizine
- steroid in tapering dose
- apply mild steroid cream like mometasone cream
- avoid soap bath
- avoid contact with suspected irritant or allergens
- have blood tests to rule out internal diseases
- HIV test may be done to clear your doubt

Other symptoms you mentioned may be due to other diseases or psychological. Still, you consult the nearby physician. Take rest and have positive attitude.

Once more question.

In one picture (image 423) there is a slight rash on chest with red spots which appears to be different from other rashes. This rash disappeared after 2 days of onset. Earlier this kind of rash appeared on collar bone and arms for same period and it does not itch or burn. Do you have to say anything about such rashes?

I can understand your concern for the skin problem you suffer. Picture quality is poor. So, it is difficult to say whether this rash is different. But, the presentation of prurigo simplex in different areas might be different. So, please do not be confused. Have treatment as suggested.
