What Does The Following Blood Test Result Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 22 Sep 2015
Question: I have just gotten my blood test results back, everything tested was in the normal Reference Range apart from Monocytes = 0.9 (range 0.1-0.8) and Creatinine was 41 (range: 50-100).
I'm 33 female, no current illness but am on Valpro 200mg and Zoloft 200mg per day.

Are my results normal for someone on daily medication?

How can I lower my monocytes and increase my creatinine?

Thank you :)

Brief Answer:
Your results are very normal!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am so sorry to hear about these findings and all the disturbing thoughts this has caused you. After explaining these to you, you will realize you are doing just very fine.

1. Higher creatinine signals poor kidneys. Lower may signal excellent kidney function. Please, do not wish that the creatinine rises. This is the best numbers you should long for, on the lower side of normal range.

2. Your monocytes are also good. Your WBC are normal and monocytes just a point off. This is not suggestive of any disease condition and you should not get too worried.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
