What Does The Following Blood Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 1 Aug 2017
Question: I had blood work done recently and the results have been sent to me, my Hematocrit is 45.5 H, my MCHC is 31.5 L, and m absolute neutrophils7250, absolute Lymphocytes 2332, absolute monocytes 700, absolute eosinophils 276, absolute basophils 42, Neutrophils 68.4, Lymphocytes 22.0, Monocytes 6.6, eosinophils 2.6 and Basophils 0.4. My results also indicate a positive ANA, Homogeneous patter associated with Lupus and a Speckled patter associated with MCTD, Lupus, Sjogren's and dermatolmysitis, In addition my Total Cholesterol is high at 248, LDL is high at 143. Triglycerides are 58 and HDL Cholesterol is 93. My platlet count could not be reported due to platelet clumping. I have tested positive in the past for Antiphospholid Protien and take a baby asprin each day per dr. I was also diagnosed with MTCD. I am just curious if you are able to give insight as to what these # would indicate and how concerned should I be.

My platelet was clumping and was noted that the platelet estimate appears normal. What does the clumping indicate? Do you see concerns surrounding my autoimmune or can there be something more occurring, are these #'s indicators for cancer? My hemotologist indicated on my last visit that I had lymphnodes swollen of my left side during my last 2 visits 2 years apart. He had a CT scan done to rule out cancer because I had some swelling just below my neck and all came back normal.

Brief Answer:
Need lifestyle modifications

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

“As” per your test report you need lifestyle modifications as below:

1)Get plenty of sleep at night at least 8 hours to avoid day time fatigue

2)Use hat, long sleeved shirts, and long pants and when going outside use sunscreen s with sun protection factor [SPF] -55

3)Make a regular plan for exercise in the morning and in the evening

4)Try to avoid smoking if you have this habit

5))Tell your nutritional expert to make a healthy diet chart which emphasizes on fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

6)Do take one multivitamin as well as calcium regularly

7)Make a time to visit your family doctor for follow up time to time and it is essential for you.

Regarding platelet I may say that as it is normal then no problem at all and clumping is not a pathological term.

Hope that helps
