What Does The Following Blood Test Report Indicate?

Question: I am looking to find out what my blood results say as I am seeing a Hematologist who wants to run more tests to rule out something,(the something was not mentioned to me) The only thing I see out of range is the MCHC and the Red Cell Distribution. What does this mean?
at first I was referred to him for Thrombocytosis. Then he wants to rule out Leukemia.
I am a 52 year old female.

This indicates minor variations in red cell sizes!

Hi! thanks for your health query!

You have normal RBC count, hemoglobin level, MCV and MCH with slightly low MCHC and HIGH RDW (red cell distribution width).

Well, MCHC reflects hemoglobin content in a Red cell with comparison to its volume (hemoglobin concentration) and RDW means variation in size of red cells.

Considering your report results I see nothing abnormal but I can say that the features suggest following possibilities:

1. recovery from recent nutritional anemia

2. effects of blood-producing medicines or hematinics

3. early stage of nutritional anemia
