Question: To whom i may concern

I would like to know which kind of dysfunction can cause (if it occurs) this result of magnetic resonance of brain and angioresonance:

"decrease in the volume of brain parenchyma as evidenced by large lateral ventricles and subarachnoid spaces widened"

I would like to know if this result can be linked to visual apraxia
Thanks beforehand

Brief Answer:
Get back with more details

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Mri report suggestive of brain volume loss with enlarged ventricle can be due to many reasons.
At your age, Degenerative disease of brain like alzheimers, fronto temporal dementia, normal pressure hydrocephalus should be considered.
Is there any behavioural abnormalities, urinary complains, walking difficulties, speech changes, memory problem, seizure, loss of consciousness?
You need to get detailed examination and investigation.
You should get blood sugar, Thyroid profile, vitamin B 12, renal function, liver function test.
In case of seizure, Eeg may be needed as you already are taking antiepileptics.
visual apraxia may occur if the atrophy is present posteriorly too.
You can upload images or report along with prescription for further analysis.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Thank you very much for your answer. Eeg is normal. I have an abnormality with vision, because my attention stays without any reason in open windows of cars and my eyes cannot react, and ther search these stimuli without any reason (i mean, there is no psychiatric reason and no TOC found by psyquiatrists, i never had this problem and it appeared at 46 years old). ┬┐These symptoms can be linked to this result in MRI?
Best regards XXXXXXX

By TOC i mean OCD, thanks

Brief Answer:
Get examined by a neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You may be having optic ataxia or balint syndrome characterized by fixation of vision, inability to move eyes, difficulty in assessing the whole visual environment at a time.
This can be due to involvement of occipital lobe of brain.
You need to visit a neurologist for examination and investigation.
