What Does The TLC Count Increase When Having Fever And Gastritis?
Question: my tlc count was 11600 with fever,after one day fever gone,but fever and sweats in night begin during 4 days,again tested tlc count incresed to first 17,600 and then 19400,i have lost 2.6 kg weight in just 10 days.i aslo have mild gastritis with deodinitis just start treatment and aslo have typhoid just test confirm today.what is the reason of my high tlc count.is it leukemia?i am 24 yrs old.15 days ago my tlc was 8310 and one month ago 7750.is it leukemia?does it occur in just 10 days?my neutrofil count was 76 and lymphocycte count 18.

Most likely you have leukaemoid reaction as suggested by progressively high total leucocyte count .Leukaemoid reaction is a physiological response to stress or infection (as opposed to a primary blood malignancy, such as leukemia).
Leukemoid reactions are generally benign and are not dangerous in and of themselves, although they are often a response to a significant disease state.
Acute leukemia will show immature blood cells called blasts or leukemia cells on peripheral blood examination.
However, leukemoid reactions can resemble more serious conditions such as chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), which can present with identical findings on peripheral blood smear.
You need to repeat your complete blood count after you recover from infection or completion of a course of antibiotics for reasonable period.

i have done the peripheral smear test and i aslo have attached the report,please go through it.can leukemia occur in just 10 days?

sir today my tlc count went down to 12400,polymrphs 62,lmyphocyte 34.sir it will come to normal na?i am taking antibiotic during 3 days including today.in past two days i have gained 400 gm weight.but sir my night sweating is not stopping it is already 5 days,why this is happening sir?i have scheduled to visit doctor in friday with blood test report on same day.sir,all are saying it infection,but i do not have any symptoms except only night sweat,how is it possible sir?sir do i need any test rather than complete blood count?sir , i will become okay na?

Since your TLC has come down with antibiotic,you need to continue the antibiotic at least for a total period 7-10 days and repeat the count again.
Otherwise infection and other conditions that can cause night sweats include:
Tuberculosis
Brucellosis (a bacterial infection)
Endocarditis (an infection of your heart lining)
Hodgkin's lymphoma (Hodgkin's disease)
Leukemia
Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
Pyogenic abscess (a pus-filled cavity caused by an infection).
Your doctor will be able to tell you which other investigation will be appropriate for you.In my opinion, a chest x-ray will be needed to exclude pulmonary tuberculosis,being the common cause of night sweats accompanied by loss of weight (initially). Though weight gain indicates recovery ,however mere weight gain of 400 gm may not be significant and hence persistent night sweats needs to be evaluated fresh.
