Question: /hi doctor my son who is 279 years old has left knee pain since 2 years.got 2 mris done ,one in2014 and one in 2015 april, results are as follows;
2014;thickening and intrasubstance hyperintensity of anterior cruciate ligament ?grade 1 sprain with minimal fluid in tibio-femoral joint
april 2015
1.grade 3 horisontal anterior tear of latereal meniscus
2,strain in lateral collaral ligament relief pl advise
3,mild knee joint effusion
4 bone contusion in lateral tibial plateu and fibular head
shown to 2 doctors but no

The findings of the MRI scan are suggestive of a stress related injury to the internal structures of the knee. Inadequate rest and persistent inflammation is the cause of mild knee joint effusion.
The problem can heal with absolute rest to the knee and using a knee brace. In case the pain and disability are persistent then arthroscopic repair of the lateral meniscus needs to be considered.

The pain is due to inflammation. using a knee brace will help in giving proper support and rest to the knee. He can use an elastic knee brace of proper size.

Is this usual arthuritis brace?? And now it's been 2 years pain on off , pl specify rest for how many days and painkiller , he is asthmatic and having razo for acidity.And wat is joint effusion

Yes. It is usual arthritis brace. He can get a proper fitting brace from his orthopedician. A rest of 3-4 weeks is usually enough to cause a proper healing. He will need pain killers and anti inflammatory medicines also.
The collection of fluid in the joint is called joint effusion. This can happen due to inflammation.
