What Does Swelling On The Eyebrow Suggest?

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Jul 2016
Question: I notices my eyebrow swelling and I could feel inside my eyebrow a mass that I could take my finger and move up into and under the brow. It would then later begin to creep down under and into the skin onto the lid and I could push it up again. Now it is both eyes. I did have XXXXXXX cell caracenoma on my nose at the age of 35 from sun that I received prior to the age 17 and am concerned about a repeat. Is there a gland under the eyebrow and what could it be. Who do I so go and see about this. I also just finished a course of Blusteritis and I am a type 2 diabetic patient.

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/69 - basal cell ca on the nose at the age of 35 - known diabetes Type 2- now eyebrow swelling - mass that can be moved as explained - concerned about repeat of ca - wants to know whether this be a gland and whom to meet ..

Good part is that no one develops basal call cancer at the site where you have lumps.
Secondly, cancer is never XXXXXXX as you have explained.
Thirdly, this is not the site of any lymph nodes.
Hence the most probable diagnosis is a sebaceous cyst or so.

You may please consult your regular Physician or PCP and get a reference for the Specialist as advised, also needed is a good control of diabetes.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
