Brief Answer:
Cord is not a problem

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

1. Nuchal cord is a common phenomenon and does not cause any problem to baby.

2. There is absolutely no threat to baby or pregnancy due to this nuchal cord. Hence dont worry about it.

3. She is on right medicines. Let her continue the same.

4. The chances of miscarriage after this period of pregnancy are less. Hence dont worry about it.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Does it mean it's a problem only during delivery and not in 2nd or 3rd trimester

Brief Answer:
Temporary phenomenon not to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is temporary phenomenon and the nuchal cord wont be present till 3rd trimester. It untangles and returns to normal as baby grows.

Even if it is present, there is no problem in 2nd or 3rd trimester.

You don't need to worry about it at all.
