delirium 2degree- visual or auditory hallucination but symptoms may overlap

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Delirium is an acute confusional state ..can be taken as a cluster of symptoms put together.
The reasons can be directly related to brain or may be due to other illnesses of the various body parts- like in high fever or after operation or liver or kidney problems etc.

The delirium is a state of fluctuating consciousness and disorganised behaviour.
There are deficits in cognition seen frequently. The patient can have alteration in sleep wake cycle.

In second degree delirium patient may also complaint of auditory or visual hallucinations along with above disturbances, but there is no clear cut demarcation given anywhere about the first second or third degree delirium
..so,more important is the clinical judgement and urgent correction of the underlying problem.

I hope the reply is useful for you.

Brief Answer:
yes, the early intervention is the best policy here

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for writing back!

Nutmeg liver is a condition in which liver material gets a nutmeg apperance.
The cause can be anything that increases the blood flow to liver causing the congestion.

Mostly it is related to cardiac related reasons like congestive failure. This can be due to various substance abuse also, like alcohol abuse etc.
In order to correct the condition we need to correct the cause behind it.

The condition becomes of special concern if the reason is cardiac.
so, early intervention is the best policy.

Wish you good luck and good health!
Please aks more questions if there are more related concerns. I would try to help you.
