What Does Purple Bump In The Anus Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Jun 2014
Question: 20 y/o male who has had anal sex. I had one kind of purpleish "bump" just at the edge of my anus after anal sex, it went away quickly. BUt one appeared again several months later, again with anal sex and now there are several just inside and around the anus and sometimes bleed when cleaning after bowel movement. I tried Preparation H thinking they were hemorrhoids, and they started to get better, but don't quite ever completely go away.I've had no anal sex for like three weeks but they still don't complately go away and still sometimes bleed while wiping. They don't hurt but sometimes itch. Size of a very small pea.

Brief Answer:
Surgery is necessary

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Thank you for the query.

From your description it sounds like hemorrhoids. Bleeding and itching are very characteristic for hemorrhoids. Please note that there is no medicine wich will make them completely go away. Suppositories can only make them smaller and less painful.
The only permanent solution is surgery. Please consult a surgeon and consider surgery.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.

Regards
