What Does Positive UPT Post MT Pill Usage Indicate?
Question: Hi,
My wife took MT Pill and still the pregnancy is positive. Below are the date details.
last period 13 XXXXXXX .
took MT pill on - 20 July and next pill on 22 July. Bleeding started and ended on 07 August.
As per the Doc she was expected to get her periods around 20 AUGUST.But, she didn't.
She took an pregnancy strip test on 19 August and it was positive.
I Know the pregnancy test was positive may be because of few HCG hormone. But want to consult if this is true and why she is not getting her periods and when she will get ?
Please advise.

Hello sir thanks for trusting health care magic.
This positive pregnancy test is due to previous pregnancy and she will probably start her periods in some days from now.
It is common to have deranged periods after abortion so don't expect them to come on desired regular basis.
This positive HCG test is most probably due to the previous pregnancy.
In my opinion you should get an ultrasound done for her so as to see for any remains of products of conception.

Thanks for the quick response.
I got her ultrasound done on 11 August and it shows nothing .. all clear.I'm concerned still after the complete abortion report, she got that pregnancy test as positive. Is this a concern?
