Brief Answer: SLE Detailed Answer: Dear Friend. Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern. I don't have your detailed medical history , so i would just share the interpretation of laboratory results. Your ANA is positive and Anti Ds DNA is positive , so this favours the diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Rest of Autoimmune Antibodies are with in normal limits. Thank you. I have rheumatoid arthritis and take humira. She wanted to make sure there was no other autoimmune disease. So is your answer still the same?

Brief Answer: SLE or Overlap Syndrome. Unlikely to be RA Detailed Answer: Welcome Again. I am sorry , but i am not convinced with her diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis based on your Lab reports. In case , you have Rheumatoid Arthritis , your Rheumatoid Factor should have been positive. But many a times , it get's negative. So , to be sure you should get Anti -CCP Antibodies. This test will give the answer in Yes Or No. If it is positive - You have Rheumatoid Arthritis. If it is negative- You don't have. I am still not convinced with the diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis with positive ANA and Anti Ds DNA. My diagnosis is SLE. In case , you have rheumatoid arthritis , I would say you have "Overlap Syndrome". Discuss my opinion with your doctor , i am sure she will agree to this. She had me do these tests because I got diagnosed also with gastroparesis from GI doctor after gastro scan. She was thinking that maybe Scleroderma may be causing is also. Can this be confirmed by the tests I provided you?

Brief Answer: It's SLE. Detailed Answer: Your Lab reports has one test related to Scleroderma , Anti centromere Antibody , that is NEGATIVE. Another test is Anti HCL-70 antibody (Anti Topoisomerase I) , which we do for Scleroderma , that has not been done. However , let me tell you again that Gastroparesis can be there in SLE! I don't have your medical history , still i believe it is SLE. Stay Healthy.
