What Does Non- Specific Chronic Inflammation Mean?

Question: I am 37 year old female with RA and possible Crohns. I was dx with colonoscopy, large deep ulcer in ileum with cobblestone appearance. pathology was non specific chronic inflammation. So GI was not sure but they ave treated with Chrohns med. I had severe flare 11 days ago, shaking, chills, severe pain and blood. then no BM since, 10 days. tonight used enema. and pale fleshy glob tinged with blood came out, still no BM. is this something I should be concerned. with. I have appt with new GI Monday.

Yes, your symptoms are definitely concerning. Your pathology report says non- specific chronic inflammation - has tubercular inflammation ruled out? Does not report say anything like a tuberculous granuloma? Please check the test report again and let me know.

Although this is concerning, you can wait until Monday for the GI appointment.

Or, this could be a flare up of the chrohn's by itself. Please discuss about both the above possibilities with the GI doctor.
