What Does Ncidental Meningioma Regarding Hearing Loss Indicate?

Posted on Tue, 10 Jun 2014
Question: I have no symptoms but have some hearing loss in left ear so had MRI. They found an incidental meningioma and a few nonspecific cerebral white matter signal alterations suggestive of chronic microvascular ischemia. What can/ should I do about this? What does it mean? My ENT doctor suggested antioxydents and ginkgo

Brief Answer:
your doctor is right

Detailed Answer:
Hello

The findings on your scan are incidental findings and there should be no cause of concern from your side.

Since you are not having any symptoms at present . You can ignore the findings for the time being.

There incidental findings are present in many people and dont need any treatment.

Anti oxidants and gingko will prevent any damage to the brain which may occur due to the reduced blood supply and also help to keep it healthy. So you can continue them.

Dont worry . You are perfectly fine

Thanks
