Brief Answer:
Please confirm typhoid with typhidot test and take treatment and precaution

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Typhoid is a bacterial infection caused by salmonella typhi and this requires complete treatment to avoid relapse.

2. Your test report shows a likelihood of typhoid but from your symptoms the disease looks less serious.

3. Sometimes a widal test report is not too reliable. There are latest tests with 97 percent sensitivity and this test is called Typhidot test. I suggest you get typhidot test done to confirm your disease.

4. Sometimes the typhoid bacteria remain in food handlers and cooks. Though they will not have the disease, they can cause infection in others. Similarly some people can have the typhoid bacteria in their intestine and if they do not was hands properly then they can get recurrent infections. There are vaccinations to protect from typhoid but it does not protect everyone.

5. My suggestion will be to do typhidot test and make sure you have typhoid. Also please take complete course of antibiotics. Always wash hands before meals and take clean food and pure drinking water.

6. If you have got typhoid then take complete course of antibiotics even if you are feeling well and avoid eating outside food for 2 months. Avoid eating food from roadside stalls especially during summer when there is a lot of contamination.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
