What Does My Vitamin D Level Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Sat, 3 Mar 2018
Question: Hello Doctor,

I was diagnosed with low Vitamin D in September (10.1). I was put on 2 medications:
1. SUPRADYN (1 tablet daily after dinner)
2. D-RISE 60000 IU ( once a week for 4 weeks)

I got my levels retested yesterday and the count of Vit D has come upto 47.7.

What should I do now?

Brief Answer:
Stop D rise and continue Supradyn....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

At the outset, any change to this treatment plan should be done after discussing with your treating doctor. He/she will make necessary alteration after considering the initial goal of treatment.

That being said, only on the basis of your latest Vitamin D levels, I would stop further use of D rise (if it's not yet stopped) while continuing Supradyn for few more weeks.

Hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
