Posted on Tue, 24 Nov 2015
Question: I had a urinalysis done on 10/21 results were
MUCOUS present
RBC 4 -10/HPF
SQUAMOUS EPITHELIAL CELLS many
BACTERIA trace
WBC'S 3-5/HPF
Doctor prescribed antibiotics for 3 days
Repeat urinalysis on 10/31 results were
MUCOUS present
BACTERIA few
SQUAMOUS EPITHELIAL CELLS few
WBC'S 0-2/HPF
RBC 0-3/HPF
Doctor says I do not need further evaluation.

Does this sound right? I feel there is something wrong with me as my urine has a very foul smell.

You actually had a urinary tract infection and due to that there was a change in the urinalysis report and the symptoms like smelly urine. This was true with your report for 10/21.

You started taking antibiotics and the urine infection started to resolve and now the latest report is much better than before meaning that the treatment given was much efficacious. And that the treatment started to resolve your issue at large.

Suggestion:-
Take plenty of water and cranberry juice for the symptoms you have. It is very effective in resolving the acute urinary tract infection symptoms.

Keep a balance regular physical activity and restrict on the high protein diet especially the processed red meat. Take a bland diet and add salads, vegetables and fruits in diet.
