Question: Hello Doctor. This is with reference to my semen analysis report. I have problem with semen liquefaction. Ad per report it takes more than 1 hour for semen to liquify. Can u please let me know on what the reason would be for this?? U have been consulting with a doctor for this and he says this is not a problem but still my wife is not getting pregnant. Test results: Motility - Progressive : 50% Sperm Count: 70 million Red cell - occasional Drinking water does it help?? Usually I drink 1.5 litres of water every day approx. Please help doctor. I'm very much worried.

Increased liquefaction is generally due to seminal infection.

You need to get semen culture and sensitivity test done to know the organism causing infection and antibiotics it is responsive to.

After this your semen liquefaction will get corrected.
