What Does My Semen Analysis Report Indicate?
Question: Hi doctor my semen have growth with Klebsiella Pneumoniae and was given
T.Claribib 500mg for 5 days - twice a day
T.Microdix for the 3 weeks after the completion of the above..
I still hv the pain what should I do.. can I hv a injection..

Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
In such cases, i advice 2 things:
1. A repeat Semen Culture and sensitivity
2. An Ultrasound of kidney, bladder, prostate to check for any collection.
My clinical experience goes good with 7 days course of injectable Amikacin antibiotic.
So, first of all you should give your semen culture and then you should be started on Amikacin, following addition of an oral antibiotic based on culture report.
If your ultrasound comes out to be normal and culture comes out to be sterile, a 7 days course of Amikacin should resolve any remaining infection and if any pain left, it would go away with in 2-3 weeks.
Please share my opinion with your treating doctor before you act upon it.

3) I will get treat as per your advice..
