Question: Hi I have a 8 month old baby boy. We did a routine stool test. Result showed presence of Macus. Pus Cells 5 - 8 / hpf and cysts E.Histolytica (+) However overall baby is healthy but currently sufgering from seasonal cold. Is it seroius specially the cysts???? Please suggest since my doctor is out of country so can't ask him about it

Hi....don't worry. Appearance of cysts in stool routine is a normal phenomenon. You need not treat it as amoebiasis.

If trophozoites are present, you need to treat it.

The test report is normal. Be rest assured.
