What Does My Rectal Biopsy Indicate?

Question: In decending colon biopsy, tiny bits of colonic mucosa with surface ulcerstion covered by granulation. The lamina propia is edematous and shows infiltrates of few lymphocytes, plasma cell, and eosinophils .no cryptitis, crypt abscess or crypt distortion seen in studied section. No evidence of granulomata or malignancy. Just want to know infiltrates of few lymphocytes plasma cell and eosinophils is normal or serious concern ?

Presence of oedema, lymphocytes, plasma cells and eosinophils suggest that there is mild chronic inflammation. It does not suggest any infection. It simply suggest non specific colitis. Good thing is that there is no crypt abscess or cryptitis or granuloma or sign of malignancy.

Biopsy of illeum was done and the final impression say shows prominent payer's patches ,no malignancy,no ibd , prominent payer's patches is it a cause of concern?
