Brief Answer:
No surgery is not urgent

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am very pleased to help you out....Surgery is done mainly to relieve the patient from symptoms. You have not mentioned any thing about how severe urinary obstructive symptoms you face while urinating. If the symptoms has decreased than that was present one year back, the drug you are taking ( tamsulosin) is working good. As also your ultrasonography report has improved , this also supports that your prostate is under control with medications. Another significant finding in the report is that median lobe is not pressing on urethra which causes maximum discomfort, as the median lobe is not pressing -you can very well be on medical management without any surgery...

Hope the answer satisfies all your queries.
