What Does My Mammography Test Report Indicate?
Question: Dear Doctor, I had a mamogram the other day and it says:
MAMMOGRAPHY
"Normal parenchyma only is bilaterally, no suspicious mases or
microcalcifications are demonstrated.
In the upper outer quadrant of rigtht breast, there is an island of left
breast paranchyma, confirmed at ultrasound.
No ther architectural anomalies are demonstrated, o features suggestive
of malignancy are demonstrated.
ULTRASOUND
Normal breast parenchyma only visible bilaterally. There are benign
appearing lymph nodes in both axillae.
COMMENT
Normal examination, no fratures suggestive of malignancy are demonstrated,
I'm ringing my doctor tomorrow. He left me a message to ring him 3 days
ago and I just received it. Should I be worried about this mammogram?
Thanks,
XXXX

Don’t worry about the lymph nodes seen on ultrasound. They could be due to some non-significant infection you might have suffered before.
