Brief Answer:
Bacterial infection.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. The WBC count is raised with relative neutrophilia. This indicates the possibility of a bacterial infection. Treatment with antibiotics is therefore needed. The choice of antibiotic would depend on the symptoms (which organ system is affected).

Let me know the complaints and I would guide you accordingly.

Let me know if I could help further.

Brief Answer:
Steam inhalation would help.

Detailed Answer:
Steam inhalation would help. I do not suppose that antibiotics are needed. Most often it is due to viral cause and treatment with antibiotics is ineffective.
