I recently observed some patch on my baby's head amidst hair. I am not sure if it existed before. I am attaching the picture. Please guide us if it is something to be concerned.

Brief Answer:
Don't worry as this should improve with time

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for asking on this platform

I have seen the image and I won't get overly worried as this is normal for this age.
During initial few months of life loss of hair, sometimes in patches is normal and this is a part of growth.
There are different phases of hair growth and when some part of hair reaches in a stage called telogen effluvium, there is regional loss of hair.
In most of the babies this happens due to change in hormonal level after birth and usually stabilises by 6-8 months of age.

So you need not to worry about this.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Brief Answer:
You can wait till 6 months of life

I would suggest you to observe for the hair loss and it's pattern as you have first noticed it recently.
This kind of hair loss starts even in first month of life and usually persists till 6 months.
So you can wait till 6 months. If there is any significant abnormality like any associated rashes, redness, excessive dandruff(seborrhea) etc you may consult earlier also.
