My blood pressure has always been good, some issues in the family. Grandfather past at age 46 of a heart attack unsure of cause. My other grandfather had a blockage. I started seeing a cardiologist due to rapid HR. Around 140. So why the med I am on is for to slow it down. Had a echo done around 12/18 showed what I original stated EF 35% global hypokinesis.. Saw cardiologist again uped the metro from 25mg to 50 and said he wanted to wait a month and do MRI see if any improvement. My son is 9 months old pregnancy was good no blood pressure or heart rate being high or low. 2 previous preg. No problems neither. 6 week check up after son everything was good. Also has my tubes tied after his birth. My cardio first thought is pericardium cardiomyopathy. I'm unsure if that's the case. But claims no other meds he was going to put me on u till after the MRI. Some symptoms i have had is shortness of breath with the medications seems to have improved. Feel tired or lack of energy. Here lately short term memory left my wallet on top of the car found it 1 mile away after searching. But I couldn't recall what I did after picked it up off the table within a 1 hr period. Few says prior left hone had forgot my phone which I never do. Misplacing things. Unsure of what to expect or what could happen in the mean time what warning signs I should watch for... He has down played it like its ok to wait and see. I asked about if I should have any restrictions or change my diets said no if I felt winded rest. He is bad about answering back outside of schedule appt with any questions I may have why I'm choosing to try another doctor
Brief Answer:
Looks like everything is related to lv dysfunction and need further medicin
Detailed Answer:
Looks like everything that you experience is related to your LV dysfunction; but it is difficult to rule out Peripartum cardiomyopathy because any LV dysfunction especially without another reason in paripartum would most likely to be related to Peripartumm cardiomyopathy.
Also as far is treatment is concerned you need to be on ACEinhibitors and diuretics. I am not sure why your doctor advised only betablockers. Going through your reports I wasn't able to figure out contraindications not to start ACE inhibitor or diuretics; you can discuss with your treating doctor about it. Please discuss specifically with your doctor and they would let you know.
