What Does My Colonoscopy Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Wed, 30 Aug 2017
Question: I am 51 and in pretty good shape male.about a year and a half ago i had an colonoscopy and everything was good. I quit smoking and tried to exercise and eat right. Soon after the colonoscopy I would get sexually aroused with my 25 year old girlfriend and noticed that when I was aroused I would have clear liquid come from my anal area. It didn't have any smell. My mum sent me to friends at the hospital she worked at to see a digestive disorder doctor. First he tried to increase my fiber with no results. Then he put me through a anal pressure test and it was good. Then I was sent to a second doctor in the same department and in an office visit the second doctor thought I had a tear that was leaking. So he put me under with annasti to repair the tear. But after the procedure he told me that he couldn't find anything wrong. So he sent me to a third doctor in the same department and she had no answers. My mum sent me to another hospital for a new opinion. They said after all these procedures that they sent me to a dermatologist who prescribed drysol. It seemed to work for a month or two.i was so happy that I finally had my life and sex life back after almost 2 years of little sex and battled depression over this issue. Now I have anus leakage that has a smell and a little messy when I get sexually aroused. Why would I have leakage when I get sexually aroused ? It seems that during the day sometimes my bum area feels warm and I need to go to the bathroom. I never had any issues like this until almost 2 years when I had the colonoscopy. My sex life sucks and I'm so depressed that after 2 years of all these procedures that I am not fixed. Why does this happened when I get se,sully aroused ? Why does my bum get warm ? Is there a surgery that can help ? I think the doctors are missing the point that when I get sexually aroused that my bum gets warm then I get a little messy with smell. Please help me I just want my life back. Thankyou

Brief Answer:
It seems more a skin hyperpersiration problem than a gut or anal issue...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern.

It is not normal to get anal leakage when sexually aroused. After revising your medical history, and getting to know that no anal or gut problem was noted; I think it is more related to any skin problem like increased perspiration. And to treat it, your dermatologist recommended drysol , and you say it worked, which is fine.

At this point, I'd ask if you feel your anus tightened when aroused or loosen?

I would recommend to have a shower first before having sexual intercourse. Keep the skin between your buttocks well cleaned and dried.
If overweight, try to reduce weight.

Looking forward to have the requested information in.

Yes,there is surgery to tighten your anal muscles if confirmed

Hi back,

Yes, there is surgical procedure to tighten your anus muscles. But they are recommended only if torn or prolapsed anal muscles are confirmed by anoscopy and physical examination by proctologist.
