What Does My Blood Sugar Level Indicate?

default
Posted on Sat, 21 Oct 2017
Question: I am checking Blood sugar for last 6 days in the morning - fasting. The values are between 152 to 182 for all these days. Today, I checked for PP (2 Hrs after Breakfast) & observed the value was 230. So far, I have not been using any medicines. Also, for the last 6 days, I am also doing brisk walk for approx. 4 Kms. Can you pl. advise if these values are OK Or I need some corrective action to reduce the values?

Brief Answer:
Out of range

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Based on the values you mentioned you can be tagged as diabetic.

For a Diabetic fasting should be under 120 and the PPBS below 180.

Anything more than that will need management by medication.

Exercise and diet alone may not help in your case to bring down the blood sugar levels.

Hope, I answered your query.
