Question: Its been 49 days since my last period . I am not experiencing any weaknesses or discomfort. We consulted a gynacologist and as suggested by the doctor did beta hcg test and T3 TSH test . The Beta HCG result showed 1.02 mIU/ml and TSH value was 1.95 mIU/mL, T4 was 4.60 mcg/dl and T3 value 0.86 ng/ml .
As per the result I am not pregnant then what could be the reason for the delay in the period

Brief Answer:
Delayed periods are expected sometimes

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about delayed periods.

Delayed periods could be due to events of stress related to academics, profession, family issues etc... These can delay periods.

Excessive physical activity, exercise or change of place, travelling are other reasons for delayed periods.

You are not pregnant and thyroid is also normal. It is normal to have such delayed periods once in awhile. Wait for periods to start naturally without medicines.

Hello doctor, I had consulted a gynaecologist and she had suggested me to start taking Primolut N for 5 days if pregnancy test is negative. And once the period starts, to conduct blood test for FSH and LH
