What Does My Angiogram Test Result Indicate?
Question: I am 54 + , from XXXXXXX XXXXXXX , my coronary angiogram report say: LMCA Normal, LAD: good caliber veseel , there is mild plaque in mid LAD followed by disease free distal LAD,D1: Diognal ostial disease, LCX fIr caliber vessel, OM1 : Large OM with mid seagment disease.RCA: Double Vessel with total thrombotic occlusion of PD A in mid part. What action. I should tKe, shpuld i goput stent , in howmany, and where. Should i leave on kedication, what is the riske of life

Hello , I am Dr mody and i would be addressing your concern.
It's not very accurate to comment just based on the said reports as that is a subjective interpretation of the cardiologist who did the angiography and I would like to see the Live CD to make an absolute diagnosis.
However based on information provided considering PDA is 100 % and the lesion in diagonal and OM1 are not critical, we can go ahead in two ways .
1) angioplasty for PDA lesion and medical management for the remaining lesions so they don't progress
2) ( more scientific ) if the lesion is not acute , and patient is stable a thallium perfusion scan or MRI of the heart for viability ( if above facilities available ) and if there is large area at risk ( PDA is large vessel ) than angioplasty and if the area of ischemia is small than aggressive medical management is the way forward.
Continue medication and the risk to life is not that high that you should get depressed about the same .
The medication you have mentioned are ok and he should take the same under medical supervision.
