Brief Answer:
Irreversible MRI changes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing attachments.

I have gone through the MRI report but I am afraid to say that most of the MRI abnormalities mentioned in the report(agenesis of corpus callosum, dilatation of lateral ventricles and hypoplastic 3rd ventricle, myelination defect, temporal gyri atrophy) are irreversible. These can't be cured or corrected.

Arachnoid cysts however, can be surgically removed.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.

Regards

1. Whether all the abnormalities mentioned in the report exist in the child?
2. Whether further diagnose should be done to confirm if anyone or all the abnormalities exist?
3.How is this child differ from a normal child?
4. What are the things we cannot expect from this child when compared to a normal child?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Motor and cognitive deficits/Delayed milestones.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

Please find the pointwise answers to your queries-
1)These are MRI abnormalities.Obviously, these exist in his brain and so MRI is reflecting them.
2)Further testing is not necessary.MRI of Brain reliably detects these abnormalities. You may seek opinion of another radiologist on MRI film,if you feel so and ask him if he agrees with the findings mentioned on the report.Alternatively, you may upload the MRI film/CD on google drive and share the link here in follow-up so that I may have a look at the MRI and form my opinion regarding it.
3)This child may have motor and cognitive deficits. He may have delayed milestones and subnormal mental functions.
4)As I said,he may have delayed motor milestones-like difficulty in learning to sit, stand, walk or doing other works. He may lag behind others in school performance and sports.Actually, only future will tell, how exactly these things affect his life.

Further,I would suggest that you should take the baby to consult a pediatric neurologist in person,as he is the best doctor/specialist who would be able to help the child.

If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
