default
Posted on Mon, 7 Dec 2015
Question: Hello Doctor,
I've just received my MRI scan reports and it says Like below,
L1-2 DISC: No significant abnormality
L2-3 DISC: No significant abnormality
L3-4 DISC: Mild diffuse disc bulge causing effacement of anterior subarachnoid space without significant neuronal compression
L4-5 DISC: Mild diffuse disc bulge causing effacement of anterior subarachnoid space narrowing of bilateral recesses with mild exiting nerve root indentation
L5-S1 DISC: No significant abnormality
My doctor suggest me for surgery. Is there any option to cure my problem without surgery.

Hello Doctor,
Thanks for response. Finally, I am suffering pain in all my joints like shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee and heel. I feel more pain in left side of those parts compared to right. I went to consult a doctor and he gave me some tablets for removing gas and pain killer, but it didn't work. Finally He suggested to take MRI scan of spine. He suggested go for operation later on seeing my MRI scan report due to disc bulge. I've uploaded the scan reports and a photo copy of the scan.

Brief Answer:
Surgery is not indicated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

I have gone through your MRI.Mild disc bulges with anterior thecal compression and mild foraminal narrowing.

There is absolutely no need for surgery at this stage. No seconds thought on that.
I suggest you to visit a physician and get yourself examined.Medicines and lifestyle changes will suffice.

If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to answer.
