Question: Dear sir,
My 9 years old daughter has done echo cardiography test. And it shows some thing. Can you please tell me what is this? And is there any problems related about this.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Your daughter’s heart is quite normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome back on HCM!

I carefully reviewed your daughter echocardiography report and I am glad to confirm you that it is quite normal (within the normal ranges).

Your daughter's heart is structurally normal:

-normal chambers dimensions
-without any evidence of congenital heart disease (no interatrial or interventricular septum defects, no coarctation, no valvular dysfunction, no cardiomyopathy, no ventriculo arterial dyscordance, etc.).

Regarding the mild tricuspid regurgitation noticed during cardiac echo, I would explain that it is quite normal.

Right sided mild valvular regurgitations are normally encountered in healthy individuals (trivial or mild tricuspid or pulmonary regurgitation).

Regarding RVSP (right ventricular systolic pressure) of 25 mm Hg, it is quite normal.

Also her LVEF of 60% is a normal value for a healthy individual.

So to conclude, your daughter’s heart is quite normal.

Nothing to worry about!

Wishing all the best for this New Year!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
