Brief Answer:
MRI and Biopsy needed to confirm

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Thanks for the query.

According to the scan report, you have infection of your collar bone. They're us no evidence of cancer in the scan.

Pyogenic and Tubercular infections need to be ruled out.

Apply ice if it hurts. Take the antibiotics prescribed by your Doctor if any. Eat healthy.

A biopsy after an MRI can be done from the pathological site at the collar bone to be sure if what it is. This is the best method to find out about this problem and rule out cancer.

I hope I have answered your query,

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

I suffered a severe dog bite to my hand. Deep puncture wound involved. Puncture wound was infected within 3 days even though I saw a doctor w/in 1 hr. of bite and was taking oral antibiotics. A sinus tract developed and burst on top of knuckle at pointing finger. An x-ray showed what one doctor thought was osteomyelitis; A CAT scan showed a well corticated erosion ; MRI showed who knows. 1 year later I am basically no better. From what I have researched, I believe I have developed chronic osteomyelitis and it is doing the now you see me, now you don t routine. Problem being is that I had no money or insurance for the med. care and the bite was received while working as a groomer. The dog owner paid for the 1st 3 doctor visits and the 2 scripts, but walked away when I was referred to an orthopedist. It was the ortho who pre-lim diagnosed septic arthritis and ordered the CAT scan. Due to the money issue, I had to retain an attorney so I could hopefully get med treatment. So, my appts. have been very wide spread and I have received no treatment. The orthopedist became a nightmare when he found out I had an attorney, did an about face and said my issues might not even be related to the dog bite. Based on these pre-lim things, do you have an opinion?

I am so frustrated. Please help me. I am in my third month of dealing with a staph infection in my shoulder joint and bone that won't go away and that has caused me to be diagnosed with osteomyelitis. I have been hospitalized twice in these three months and had 5 surgeries to clean shoulder. Now on IV cefazolin and oral augmentin. I have other symptoms as well rapid weight loss, extreme itchiness, frequent urge to urinate, difficulty urinating (must push), loss of appetite, dry, brittle hair, recurring infection as stated above, low testosterone, thyroid disease. My Bloodwork shows normal ranges. Once a month my right ovary seems to get inflamed and causes pain and tenderness in that area. I have had 2 surgeries for endometriosis, but that was long ago. Three successful pregnancies, my youngest is almost five. Don't drink or smoke. Not overweight, I use Mirena IUD for birth control. What is wrong with me?
