Brief Answer: Thyronorm will help in the growth of the baby Detailed Answer: Hi there I have read your query fully. First of all I would congratulate you on becoming pregnant. Your TSH levels are very high. That means that your thyroid gland is producing very little hormone. We need thyroid hormone for the development of the baby. Simply in laymen’s language the requirement of the thyroxine in pregnancy increases. Thus if the thyroid gland is not functioning properly we need to increases the dose of the thyroid hormone to meet the requirements of the baby. If the pregnant hypothyroid female does get the extra thyroxine hormone it may have adverse effects on the foetus like preterm delivery, miscarriage etc. Thus the thyronorm or the external thyroid hormone will rather have positive effect on the growth of the baby. And your doctor will definitely monitor the levels of TSH during the course of pregnancy to keep the TSH levels low. I hope all your doubts have now been removed. Your haemoglobin is excellent Blood sugar levels are normal White blood cell count is on the higher side. Though their count increases in pregnancy. But get them measured and get the urine culture done under the doctor’s guidance. Any further queries are welcome
