Question: Hey doctor im 22 yrs old and i gone to emergency room twice with chest pain had an ekg done and bood test everything came back great. I decided to see a cardiologist he gave me a stress test and eco and ekg everything came back fine he did prescribe me cartia xt 120 mg and metroponol er 25mg for my palpitations but i still get chest pain is that normal???

Well, if there is normal ecg, stress test and blood test then you can do echocardiography more but at this point there is no sign of heart disease and this may be caused by other issue such as anxiety, esophagitis or lung disorders. In such young people, some serious diseases are uncommon. YOu should do gastroscopy and lung xrays as next step if chest pain persist after these medications. Wish you good health. Regards
